108 SUN SALUTATIONS 2026

Join us for a spring morning of vitality, community and connection with the natural cycles and rhythms of life.
The Sun (Surya) is the primary source of energy for planet Earth and is symbolic of the inner radiance of the heart.
Surya Namaskar is a dynamic meditation. With a flowing series of 12 traditional yoga postures, alternating between backward and forward bends, Surya Namaskar brings about a profound stretch to the spine and the entire body. It embodies the principles of expansion and contraction, mirroring the natural rhythms of life. And as we attune with its continuous cycles of movement and breath – just like the sun - we become filled with energy, vitality and spiritual wellbeing.
Everybody is welcome to this co-led practice! Teachers Natalie, Marianne, Kath and Nandhi will share variations and modifications, inclusive for all yoga practitioners, from beginners to experienced. We’ll encourage you to commit, to rise to the challenge and to give your best, as well as to rest as you need to. Together we’ll complete an auspicious 108 rounds.
To accompany our practice, beautiful ‘live’ devotional music will be played by Bindu and friends.
Afterwards, stay to enjoy a nourishing vegetarian lunch in the garden, prepared by Ashram residents.
Cost: $45 includes lunch
